Mary Woolaston Dreams

A textile artwork made with participation from members of the Calthorpe Community Gardens honouring the 17th Century well keeper Mary Woolaston.  Includes healing symbols made by community members and "Healing Hand" portraits of community workers and artists Mila Campoy, Nicole Colombo, Annika Miller Jones, Emanuela Aru, Marcia Bennett-Male and Zaynab Bunsie.  The images pepper a 17th Century night sky and imagines Mary dreaming us into existence.  Part of The Black Mary Project.  Photos by Nina Photography
